The Elders

Nathan Elder had strong family ties to Cedarville University. His beloved late wife, Hazel Edwards Elder, graduated from Cedarville in 1924. Almost a dozen of his family members have benefited from a Cedarville education. He enjoyed supporting the growth of this exceptional Christian institution over the years.

Nathan and Hazel established their first Cedarville University gift annuity in 1992, enjoying the idea of helping a good cause while creating a steady source of income. They were happy to find that the payout rate was greater than many of our other investments. They felt secure knowing that the annuity payments were back by the assets of the University and the significant tax savings were a welcome benefit.
